A ¹ú²ú̽»¨ Education

A Joe-Boy is

Our vision is for every boy to grow into a unique man, with his own aspirations and hopes for the future.

Yet, what he shares with his peers are the quintessential dispositions, values and principles that define the Joe-Boy. These qualities, emanating from the College’s Vision and Mission, personify what ¹ú²ú̽»¨ strives to nurture in every student as he transitions into the world beyond our gates as a Good Christian and a Good Citizen. Like St Marcellin Champagnat, he will be a man of strong mind and gentle heart.

The ¹ú²ú̽»¨ Graduate: our aspiration.

The ¹ú²ú̽»¨ Graduate is our aspirational model for alumni of St Joseph’s College. Over the course of their ¹ú²ú̽»¨ journey, students will have instilled in them these values and virtues, enabling them to make the most of their life – for themselves and for others.

Using the quadrants of our historic College crest, in combination with the centre cross, we extol the key attributes of a ¹ú²ú̽»¨ Graduate: humility, vision, service, wisdom and faith.

Junior student showing heart and soul

A Joe-Boy is defined by his quiet strength and generous heart. He gives fully – with energy, kindness and conviction. Spirit shines in how he faces challenge and gives of himself. Through service initiatives like annual immersions and our Lenten Appeal, he learns to lead with empathy, grounded in faith.

Leadership and character.

Leadership at ¹ú²ú̽»¨ is not about position – it is about presence. A Joe-Boy leads by example, with integrity, humility and resolve.

A Joe-Boy is - Leadership and Character

Through opportunities like peer mentoring, our Liturgical Leaders and Acolytes program and Colo Leaders in Year 11, he learns to listen, act with courage and stay true to his values. His character is consistent whether in the spotlight or amongst the community.

Community and mateship.

At ¹ú²ú̽»¨, no one walks alone. A Joe-Boy is part of something greater – a community built on trust, encouragement and shared memories. Mateship runs deep in moments big and small and is nurtured even further through our Extended Day Program and boarding life. He takes the time to build friendships, truly valuing the ease and depth of connections that will last a lifetime.

¹ú²ú̽»¨ joeys education faith 1

Faith is the foundation of a Joe-Boy’s life. Grounded in prayer, reflection and the example of Mary, he learns to live with purpose and humility. Through Family Mass, Prayers on the Stairs and Sunday night Mass, faith becomes action. It shapes how he walks with others, and how he walks with God.
