It brings me great joy to share with you a snapshot of our students’ achievements in the 2025 Higher School Certificate (HSC). These exceptional results reflect the dedication and discipline that our boys have applied to their studies, and also speaks to the invaluable support provided by their parents and teachers, who have walked with them throughout their learning journey.

While many earned exceptional results I am equally in awe of any student who exceeded their own perceived limits, lifting their marks and achieving personal bests. Individual successes, obtained through hard work and commitment, are no less significant than those celebrated in the headlines. These are shared triumphs, celebrated with friends, family and staff, they are stories of growth that exemplify the ¹ú²ú̽»¨ spirit.
An incredible 110 Joe-Boys, or 49 per cent of 2025 HSC students, were named on the 2025 Distinguished Achievers List, with a total 233 mentions between them. In addition, Benjamin Jackson, Toby Luce, Matthew Reeves, Lucas Ribeiro Sardinha and Justin Wong earned places on the HSC All-round Achievers list, recognising their achievement of having received the highest possible band (Band 6/E4) in at least 10 units.
A further 10 students received the highest possible band (Band 6/E4) in eight units or more. We also celebrate Thomas Loadsman on his state-ranked achievement in English Advanced with a mark of 98.
For this cohort, 96.6 per cent of all subjects studied had a mean that was above the state average. Twenty-two of these subjects had a mean four marks above state average and an incredible 17 had a mean six or more above the state average.
Congratulations to Lucas Ribeiro Sardinha on being awarded the 2025 Dux of the College, with an ATAR of 99.60. Congratulations also to Justin Wong with an ATAR of 99.45 and Spencer Cooley with an ATAR of 98.70, placing them second and third highest respectively in the Class of 2025. In total, seven students achieved an ATAR over 98, 19 achieved an ATAR over 97, 31 achieved an ATAR over 95 and 51 achieved an ATAR over 90.
